Wonderful. I made a few changes based on personal preferences. Like a couple of reviewers before, I subbed olive oil for margarine. I also cut the parmesan cheese in half and grated some asiago cheese into the mixture. This is wonderful. A definite once in awhile, unhealthy splurge. Yum. I used cheese tortellini. Bacon or pancetta would be good sprinkled on top. Oh, I forgot. I added a half tsp onion powder.
This white sauce was very good. It is very thick and creamy. I also substituted olive oil for the margarine and it was very very good. Reminded me of a sauce you would get on a pasta dish at a restaurant. I will definitely use this recipe again. Thanks for sharing this great recipe!
This sauce really surprised me.I enjoyed the flavor but instead of using regular flour I used whole wheat flour.I also did not have any garlic powder so I just roasted some minced garlic and added it to the sauce. This is a great recipe,my 10 yearold had seconds.Thanks.
Excellent sauce....I served this over angel hair pasta topped with spicy grilled shrimp.
This sauce was wonderful! I tweaked it a bit by using 1/2 butter 1/2 olive oil for the margarine. I also carmelized 1/2 a sweet onion and 2 minced garlic cloves in the butter. I then spooned out the garlic and onion and set them aside while I made the rest of the sauce. I added them back in when I added the cheese and herbs (omitting the galic powder). It was sinfully rich and youcould eat it with a fork. I'll be posting the recipe of the crab and bowtie pasta I used it with as it was heavenly. Thanks a ton this sauce made the meal!
this sauce is amazing, probably the best white sacuse i have ever had, i use it with 4 Minute Spicy Garlic Shrimp, for the shrimp and some angel hair pasta. my boyfriend loved it he even finished mine. definitely will make again thanks
I did not have Rosemary, I ran out. I mixed 1 tsp lemon juice with broth and cornstarch. I used a wisk and stirred constantly. It was wonderful. I used with macaroni.
