I added some tomatoes on top along with some fresh basil. It was really good. Thanks.
This is the best non-tomato sauced pizza in the world. We loved it and the kids asked for it again tonight.
Wasn't a big fan of this one. It was good, just very plain.
This is an ok pizza. I made for family last night and DH and I thought it was good, but the kids didn't share our tastes. I think they were expecting regular pizza, which this is not. I will make this again when entertaining with a appetizer buffet. Thank you for sharing.
Great Pizza. I added some partially cooked shrimp the last five min. topped with a little more mozzarella cheese. It had great flavor and easy to do. I used Pizza Dough for Thin Crust Pizza for the crust which I partially cooked also.
Yummy, yummy, yummy!! I like the fact there's no tomato sauce -- don't care for the stuff on pizza. I sauteed onions, garlic and mushrooms. Put on a Pillsbury pizza crust with red pepper flakes, pizza seasoning, diced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese and parmesan. Boy was it good!! Who needs the chain pizzas with this one so tasty and easy? Thanks a bunch!!UPDATE 5-17-09: Just made this again with a Boboli crust. I carmelized the onions, added garlic, mushrooms and cashews (really good on pizza) and pizza seasoning. Hubby says throw away the takeout menu from Pizza Hut -- we love it!
This pizza was delicious. I added 2 small cans of mushrooms and some fresh basil, and sauteed the mushrooms with the onions. My pizza was done in 8 minutes, so you may want to keep an eye on the timer and check it around 7-8 minutes.
I really liked this pizza. I made my own crust but I probably should have baked it before adding the toppings.(like the Boboli) Next time I will brush the crust with olive oil, sprinkle with parmesan, then bake it. I used losts of garlic and topped the pizza with this slices of roma tomato, black olives and chopped fresh basil. It is very appealing to the eye and fragrant while baking!
One tyerrific recipe. I added a bunch of garlic to the onions. I can't have tomatoes so this is the perfect alternative for me. Thanks for posting it.
