White Gravy

Just a good, homestyle gravy. We use it for Chicken Fried Steaks and I like to put it over fried potatoes.


I used this recipe and it was great! I added some ground, fried sausage to the gravy and put it over homemade buscuits....FABULOUS!

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 2 tablespoons drippings, from meat you are cooking
  • 14 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups whole milk (2% works fine)
  • salt and pepper


  1. Add flour to drippings and cook until light brown and smooth. Slowly whisk in milk and cook until thickened. Add salt and pepper to taste.
