White Chili

"This recipe was one of the first dishes that my mother in law made for me while visiting them in Minnesota. Delicious! It is now a winter time favorite. The herbs and spices can be adjusted for your tastes, and fresh herbs can be substituted depending on availability. Serve with sour cream and crusty Baguette."

  • Cook chicken in olive oil in a large pot.
  • Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic and cook until tender.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients except sour and heavy cream and simmer for at least 15 minutes to let flavors blend (the longer the better).
  • Add heavy and sour cream and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Serve with sour cream and crusty baguette.
