Grrrrreat recipe! I bailed on the tomatoes-EW! Used rotisserie chicken from my grocer's deli, added a can of kernled white and yellow corn and chicken broth & cornstarch to thicken w/Tillamook Pepperjack Cheese shredded cheese to top-yummmy! ;)
We have a resturant close by that severs this chili, and this recipe is so close we did a comparion test and suprise this won. it was better than that of the resturants.
Not your typical "chili", more of a soup than the chili we all might think of at first. Loved this recipe; easy to make and not too time consuming. Made it for the first time last night and shared some with friends today. They now have the recipe and are making it tonight!!!
My family loved this! This was easy to put together, but doesn't taste "canned". Watch the acidity with the tomatoes though, adjust your lime juice if acid is high. Letting the flavors steep overnight helps. This will be a regular in our home.
This is a delicious chili recipe - flavorful enough for those who like spicy things, but not a "burn your mouth" chili. It was a big hit and the leftovers were great!
