Very Good! This was exactly what I was looking for. We made with a left over ham bone.
This was quite good. However, I would suggest using less salt. I found it quite salty even though the chicken broth I used had no added salt.
I made mine with navy beans.It was very tasty with great flavor. I waited an hour into simmering before adding salt so the beans would get tender first. This made for a perfect evening meal back when we had one of those cool rainy summer days - made for a great supper soup. Used the great northerns and followed through as posted for a wonderfully delicious and full flavoured soup with that old fashioned taste.The seasonings so complimented the beans and bacon. Going to see to a rerun - soon and be sure to stash some in the freezer.Thank you for sharing.
