Whipped Cream

"This is our family recipe for whipped cream. I'm surprised it's not already on Zaar. You'll want to use chilled whipping cream, and as a couple of the reviewers pointed out, chill the bowl and beaters too if possible. If you have a kitchenaide mixer, use your wire beater, not the paddle."

  • Whip until stiff.
  • Continue mixing while adding sugar in a slow stream, then vanilla and a pinch of salt.
  • For pie or shortcake topping use regular sugar, but for cake topping use powdered sugar.

  2. I can highly recommend this recipe. It is the only one I have used for years. Sometimes I add less sugar. I always chill the beaters and bowl which seems to ensure success in beating it. Glad you have made this public.
