These were very good and easy to prepare. The only change I made was I added a couple of pinches of salt to the meat after it had simmered with the tomatoes...it tasted a tad bland to me without some salt. I also used the "hot" enchilada sauce to make sure there was some kick to it. Otherwise I followed the recipe as close as possible. I'm sure these will be made many times in my house. Thanks for posting Terry.

These were AWESOME! My whole family loved them! My husband even raved about them, and he normally doesn't say too much when I try a new dish out on him. I served them with spanish rice and charro beans. I followed your directions exactly and topped them with sour cream and fresh chopped jalapenos! I will definitely be making these often! Thanks for posting a great recipe!

Holy,Moley, guacamole! Darn right tasty! Made 'em for dinner tonight, and they got scarfed up.(My Kiddo had her best pal over for dinner, and ate her whole burrito up - I couldn't even do it!) We have a local Mexican store on the Southside of Milwaukee, that makes flour tortillas, which are about a foot in diameter, and sold to the chain stores around here - got a fresh batch of them for this. Really, really good. Only thing different I did was add some chopped chilies after I put the cheese in the tortillas. Man, I'm loving this "Zaar" experience - so much good food, and so little time. I'm planning on making your bleu cheese dressing for my salad on Christmas Eve, along with my 3-pound lasagne. Have a great holiday season, and thanks for introducing me to Wet Burritos.

Delicious. Everyone enjoyed these - I made a triple recipe to accomodate my family because there were 7 of us - 5 of them teenagers and there were two burritos left. Definitely a keeper.

My favorite yet! Only thing we do different is throw some chopped or sliced black olives onto the condiment plate! Beautiful pic, too!

Here's another 5 stars for your recipe. The only thing that I will do differently in the future is make smaller burritos. I did have to make the beef gravy #187128, and had to use chili tomatoes. And, the cans of enchilada sauce comes in 15oz, but that didn't hurt the sauce at all. Very nice recipe, thank you.

I tried this even though I don't like refried beans. DH does so I used the beans for his and left it out for mine. I also used leftover roast beef from the crockpot, (tender and shredded) So perfect DH says to make it again soon, kids said it was great too. None went to waste even though I tripled it. Very good

Delicious! As another reviewer stated, I made these using frozen burritos and it turned out delicious! The sauce is definitely the key, it is wonderful! Using frozen burritos, it makes for a fast and tasty dinner...like a Taco Bell Enchirito, but SOOO much better.

This dish quickly became a family favorite. The gravy is easy and delicious, and the burritos are great when reheated the day after making them. My husband and I are hooked. If you're feeling lazy, top frozen PATIO burritos with the gravy, cheese, and chopped onions for a cheater version.

I recently decided I was going to be very sparing in awarding 5 stars, but this one demands it! I loved the flavors in this. Instead of beef, I ground up some leftover chicken from a roast and proceeded with the rest of the recipe in the same way. I cut down on the chili powder to one teaspoon, because all I have is very hot, and it was just enough kick. Thank you for a delicious recipe!

Count us among those who love this recipe. I followed the recipe quite closely. I used more ground beef, added a can of green chilies to the beef. a 1/2 can of black olives to the beans, and a bit more cheese. It was as good as any wet burrito we have had. There are no good Mexican restaurants here in Key West so this recipe will be used whenever we need a Mexican fix. We may try making six rather than four next time. These were really stuffed with only four. Thank you. We really enjoyed this recipe.

This was Amazing! In the words of my teen son!WOW! the entire family loved it and even a few passersby!. I will post my pics aswell. This was good the next day too. I just made another batch of "gravy" threw on some extra cheese and warmed in the oven. Really good and easy. Thanks Terri, we won't be eating another "dry" burritos at our hacienda either.

AMAZING!!!!! So quick and easy to make and they can be made ahead of time so it was perfect! I didnt use the gravy and i put the whole tin of tomatoes in because I was using (http://www.food.com/recipe/texas-red-enchilada-sauce-42094) a rather spicy sauce for the top instead of the premade sauce. I also didnt put in the chilli as my sauce is quite spicy and my dinner guest doesnt like her food too hot. But when I browned off the meat, garlic and onion I used a little chilli infused oil. SO yum! This also made heaps. My tortillas may have been smaller than the normal sized I dont know but my 9x13 dish was chock full (with 9) and I also got another dish of 5 to go into the freezer for another meal. Thank you very much for a recipe that I will definately use again!

This was a lot more work, or at least dirty pans, than our usual 'dry' burrito recipe. I made it with kidney beans instead of beef, and froze half the burritos for later -- we got waaaaaay more than 4 servings! I loved the flavors of the spice mix, but think all the separate cooking was a bit over the top for a vegetarian version. If I make this again I'll just combine the 'beef' steps with the refried beans, and use far less than 1 lb. kidney beans for 4 servings.
