West Bend Electric Skillet Scalloped Potatoes

The same as most other recipes...got it out of the manual for my electric skillet. I also used some chopped ham.

We liked these potatoes and they are very easy to make in the electric skillet. I used russet potatoes and was out of minced onion so I used onion powder and skim milk. After 45 minutes my potatoes werent browning so I turned the skillet up to 300 for a few minutes. Added the cheese and italian breadcrumbs but forgot to add the parsley. Simmered for an additional 20 minutes and they were perfect. Served Andy Wold's Recipe #71459 with the potatoes and had a very nice meal.

  1. Combine potatoes with onion, salt and milk, simmer, covered, for 45 minutes, or until tender.
  2. Sprinkle cheese, pepper and crumbs over top. Continue cooking, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Reduce to "warm" for serving. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
