Fantastic recipe! Reminds me of being a little girl, as we ate this in Scotland. Just be careful adding beer that you don't get carried away (like me) and add too much!! Otherwise you'll end up with cheese soup.

Excellent! Comfort food at it's best. I made these in our new toaster oven using dark ale. There was enough for 6 slices of bread. Perfect for sitting in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine on a chilly night. I'm so glad I chose you for "Pick-A-Chef"!
