Really good, husband loved it! I added a can of diced tomatoes with juice and left out the chips for 5 points plus, I think it is 6 points plus with the chips. Because of the tomatoes the serving size was about 1 cup so it was nice to bulk it up. Maybe next time I'll add 2 cans of Rotel or some fresh tomatoes and another stalk of celery. It is a soup and not a stew, but I didnt find it overly thin. Just make sure not to overcook it, and to follow the directions when mixing the flour and stock.

Other than leaving out the celery, and salt made this as posted.Thought that it had a unique, pleasant cheeseburger flavor. Enjoyed very much. Made for PRMR tag

Wonderful and easy soup that DH will actually eat...and eat...and eat! I added 2 large grated carrots with the rest of the veggies and 2 tsp hamburger seasoning in place of the salt and pepper. Otherwise, I made as written and it is wonderfully rich and hearty and cheesy without being guilt-inducing. Gotta love that!

I was disappointed with this soup. It was really thin and bland tasting. At the last minute I added more cheese to give it more flavor. I am not sure how many points this added.

very good I had to fudge on some ingredients as I didn't have evaporated milk so it was a bit !runnier than I would have liked. The flavor is excellent

MMMMMM! What a fabulous comfort food that won't leave you feeling guilty. I also love that it is so quick from start to finish. Can't wait to pull these out of the freezer for lunch on cold days! Thanks for sharing.

This was just OK for me. One thing I didn't like is my soup seemed to separate and it didn't get as creamy as I would like. I didn't do anything different so I don't know if it was supposed to be that way or not. I'm not sure if I will try again

LOVED IT!! Made this for dinner tonight and very much enjoyed. I didn't need the tortilla chips on top. I've had my eye on this soup for awhile and I wish I hadn't waited as long as I did, cuz I can't wait to make it again. I've already hidden the leftovers way in the back of the fridge so no one touches it before my lunch tomorrow.... if I can wait that long.

2009 is starting off right...the first recipe I've made this year (been on vacation for a week). We loved it! I guess we were extra hungry because it served 3 of us with a small bowl leftover for my lunch tomorrow. The crumbled chips on top were an added flavor bonus. Next time, a double batch will be made and enjoyed for extra lunches! Thanks Lainey.

If it passed the approval of the picky child (who hates onions!) it gets 5 stars. 4 out of 5 ate it up. I used ground turkey, sharp cheddar cheese, forgot the evap. milk and topped with a few oyster crackers. Will definitely save and will double the recipe next time. Didn't make enough otherwise. I put this into my book#234006. Thanks, Lainey!

This was really pretty good! I opted to leave the tortilla chips off mine to bring it down to 4 points. (Or, should I say 8 because I had two servings!) Followed the recipe but made it on the stove and added a can of tomatoes.

Very good and easy to make. I have been wanting to try this recipe for a long time but I wasn't sure about a cheeseburger soup. This was very tasty. I followed the recipe as written.

Wow. Definitely tastes way more fattening than it is. I used 96% lean ground beef and doubled the celery. I didn't have evaporated milk, so I used fat free half and half. I really liked that there are no potatoes in this soup, so it really is more "cheeseburger-ish." Thanx for a delicious, lower-fat, kid-pleasing and adult-pleasing soup!

This was a surprise. I really didn't expect it to be so good. What a :yummy: dish. I forgot to use the tortilla chips but I do have leftovers so going to throw some in tomorrow. I can't see how they will improve the flavor...I did cut the recipe in half and it worked great. Thanks for Lainey6605 for posting.

Lovely, creamy soup that tastes more sinful than it really is. We both really enjoyed it and licked our bowls clean. I pretty much followed the recipe as written except for using ground turkey rather than beef and adding a few red pepper flakes for chilihead DH. I did not use a slow cooker but finished it off by simmering on the stove top for about 30 minutes. There seems to be a rather large discrepancy between the amount of soup this recipe makes and the listed number of servings. ( Unless of course the diners have tiny little appetites ;-) ) I estimate the finished quantity is about 6 cups, which for 8 would be only ¾ cup per serving. I would definitely double this recipe to feed 4-6 people. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
