Delicious! I halved the recipe to make an 8x8 cake. It is nicely spiced and tastes great. When I made it into 12 pieces they are 2 pts. each! I'll bet it's good with cool whip or ice cream! Thanks!
This cake is yummy! I followed the directions pretty much--I did use the egg-beater egg whites (didn't have enough eggs and it was snowing), so didn't get the nice fluff. It didn't matter. The cake was not too heavy or dense. It was nice and moist. I added 1/2 tsp of ginger and substituted half of the sugar for slenda. My husband, who is always leary of "diet food" liked it. in fact, he was sneaking pieces when I wasn't looking.
this is fabulous! I can not believe this was only 3 points OMG! I subbed 1/2 the flour w/whole wheat so I wander if that helps with points? hmm? I also glazed w/ about 2tbs of vanilla frosting. DELICIOUS thank you.
Not sure what went wrong here, but my family was not impressed. This was super moist, but it seemed very dense. Also seemed to need more cinnamon since it seemed overpowered. Probably won't make again. Thanks for sharing anyway.
Five stars for taste. I followed the recipe exactly except for using Smart Sugar (buy through Amazon) that's half the calories of sugar and measures same as sugar. I agree it's a little dense yet the flavor embodies you immediately - I can imagine the cake with a lovely caramel sauce, a cinnamon crunch topping or vanilla drizzle. Good enough to serve company
Wow was this ever good!!! Mine tasted more like a dense apple bread than a cake, but I never got my eggs and sugar to form peaks, so maybe that was it. But this was still yummy...we didn't use any glaze, just ate it as is. This is extremely moist and delicious; I followed the directions exactly and it was so easy to make and made a great dessert for Easter dinner. Thanks for posting!!
I made it on thanksgiving and it was good.
