Sweet orange rolls -- my childhood's classic sweet roll


  1. Make a regular sized batch of your favourite sweet dough.
  2. Divide it into two.
  3. Roll each half out to a 12" by 9" rectangle.
  4. Brush each rectangle with melted butter.
  5. sprinkle half of the sugar and orange zest mixture on each rectangle, making sure you get it right to the ends.
  6. Fold the dough into thirds.
  7. slice into 1" slices.
  8. twist each slice and then make it into a ring shape by pinching the ends together.
  9. Place on greased baking sheet in warmth until risen 2x.
  10. Bake in 375 degree oven for 20 minutes.
