These are from the Watkins Cookbook Copyright 1938
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 3⁄4 cup of chopped walnuts
- 3⁄4 cup cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon of watkins vanilla
- Dissolve sugar in cream, cook until soft ball stage when tested in cold water.
- Remove from fire, add butter, nuts and flavoring.
- Let cool.
- Beat until creamy, press in buttered pan and cut into squares.
