This is so cute and perfect for kids. I used 1 and 1/2 containers of frosting to get enough to cover the entire cake. Turned out beautifully except all my chocolate covered raisins sunk to the bottom of the cake layers. They still looked like seeds though so it was ok. I may try it with the mini chocolate chiops next time. Thanks so much for this neat recipe!

This was a really cute cake! I actually used mini chocolate chips instead of chocolate covered raisin b/c we aren't really a raisin loving gang over here. I also used a tube of green decorating frosting and drew squiggles down the sides to appear more rind like. I thought this was a really great idea, and we wont in our cake contest with this! woo-hoo!

My kids and I made this precious cake last week-end. We had a good time and it turned out better than I thought it would. I used Duncan Hines cake mix and frosting. The colors were fun and it looked like a watermelon. Thanks Nurse Di. This one is worth repeating.
