More tasty than I imagined it would be. I used a sweet baby watermelon, fresh round goat cheese not feta, sea salt, plus the rest of the ingredients minus the optional nigella seeds as I didn't have any on hand.

We loved it . . . I have a recipe for a grilled watermelon salad and wanted to try this version. Didn't change a thing! Thanks for sharing! Made for ZWT #6

Have to admit, I thought a few more savory elements might have enhanced this salad a little bit better instead of sweet, but the combo of goat cheese and watermelon was really fabulous. I reduced the EVOO, but that was the only change I made. Thanks! Also made for ZWT VI>

This is wonderful. I love the complexity the orange zest, feta and seasonings give to the watermelon. The feta I had was already in chunks and so couldn't be cut into rounds which would have looked more attractive but taste, after all, was not affected. Made for ZWT6 Ssassy's

This was a real surprise when it hit the dinner table last night! It's a fantastic summer salad, just perfect in flavor and refreshment. Instead of topping each salad with a goat cheese round, I crumbled it over. I didn't have nigella seeds, but will try to get them for the next time I make this. Thanks, JanuaryBride! Made for Bevy Tag.
