This is excellent. I decreased amounts to make only 4 servings, & enjoyed while I was decorating my Christmas tree. I had to substitute regular apple juice, b/c I was out of cider, so I added a little more spice to make up for that. It was excellent, & even better WITH actual cider, I'm sure. *Hint: Run a pot of plain water thru your coffeepot after making this before you make coffee again. :) Thanks!

This recipe is unique and easy becuase of use of the coffee pot. It worked slick and everyone at our Christmas party who wanted a warm, non-alcoholic drink liked it!

Exactly what I was looking for. I've been nominated to be the wassail maker for our church choir. This recipe tasted great, and the use of the coffee pot is exactly what I needed. I started with 1 gal of apple cider and adjusted the rest of the quantities. And the use of 1/2 of a fifth of spiced rum was a wonderful addition.

This is a wonderful wassail. Adults and children alike enjoyed it after the Thanksgiving Day parade.
