Warm Mashed Potato Soup

- 350 g diced potatoes
- 100 g chopped onions
- 300 ml whole milk
- 30 g unsalted butter
- 50 g soft cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch pepper
directions
- Steam your diced potato and chopped onion for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, put all herbs and spices in the milk.
- Take out your steamed potatoes and onions. Steam your milk for 10 minutes.
- In the meantime, mash your potatoes and onions with a hand masher while still hot.
- Add butter to hot mashed potatoes.
- Add cheese to hot mashed potatoes and mix well.
- Pour in hot milk a bit at a time and stir well.
