Mmmm ~ This sauce is delicious over pancakes, hot crispy waffles, or vanilla ice cream! I used 1/3 cup honey instead of the 1/2 cup of sugar called for. And to please my family I chunked up the berries somewhat with the side of my cooking spoon. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

Fabulous sauce I find myself coming back to again and again! I cook mine down more- my family doesn't like the 'bumps' and likes the fruit cooked more. Fantastic either way! Thanks leslie......... old one....YUM! This was amazing over the blueberry pancakes made for breakfast. Saved a little for some biscuits I am making. Hope it is still there when the biscuits are done!

I made this delicious sauce to put over "The Best (No Kidding) Buttermilk Pancakes" The Best (No Kidding) Buttermilk Pancakes by Chef Kate- This proved to be a winning combo which I really enjoyed. The sauce is light and fresh, and the possibilites for use are endless. Thanks for posting! Nick's Mom

A quick and easy topping for pancakes or ice cream. I made this sauce to serve over Sourdough Pancakes Sourdough Pancakes and had a little left over which I spooned over some frozen vanilla yogurt. The sauce is not overly sweet and allows the flavors of the berries to come through. I used fresh frozen berries without a problem.

This was really good; it wasn't super sweet. The lemon juice gave it just the perfect tartness actually. We ate it over french toast for dinner. Didn't use strawberry jam, instead I used Smuckers Strawberry Sundae Syrup. (I only had grape jelly in the house.) Thanks for the recipe. It's a keeper!

Bought a lemon angel food cake and topped it with this warm strawberry sauce. So very good!! Not a heavy overwhelming sauce, nice strawberry flavor. Will be making this again!

Mmm...this is THE strawberry sauce. I served this atop of some slices of store bought chocolate cake and you should have seen people's mouths watering. This turned a plain, sort of dry cake into a delightful delicacy. You can really notice the strawberry flavour and it is the perfect consistency. I would not add more cornstarch than called for, but if you wanted it more syrupy you probbly would want to add a bit more. Wonderful recipe. Would be awesome over waffles and icecream!
