Wow...yum! I would halve the recipe for the two of us next time, cause I served it over vanilla bean ice cream and with a wafer cookie. Definitely repeating this recipe!

Oh my goodness... this is just the time of year to enjoy warm, carmely apples with toasted almonds, raisins and just enough booze to warm the blood on a chilly fall evening... of course that could have been the sampling that occurred before making, ha! In any event, these apples were simple, warm and very much enjoyed! I used just a tiny bit of butter to cut a few calories and they tasted great! Made for 1-2-3 Hit wonders.

I had a bag of precut apples so used those for this yummy dessert. I followed the recipe as written. Nice easy dessert.

This is an easy dessert to do when we have nothing ready. I used Empire apples. I omitted the raisins cause my BF is picky lol This has a delicious taste. It would be so good on ice cream :P Thanks Annacia. Made for 123 hit wonders :)

This dessert makes me want to keep amaretto on hand always so that I can make it whenever I want. Very simple, very elegant and totally delicious. Great with whipped cream or without. Thanks for sharing!

Fantastic! I sub'd Splenda for the sugar and it came out perfectly. My apples were very fresh and sweet so they needed little to begin with. The amaretto really shines here and adds such a great touch! I also only used half the butter- real butter of course- that shines here too! Thanks for sharing a great fast fix recipe that is yummy, romantic and terrific!
