- 396.89 g cream cheese, room temperature
- 177.44 ml walnuts, toasted and chopped
- 29.58 ml parsley, minced
- 14.79 ml green bell pepper, minced
- 14.79 ml onion, minced
- 9.85 ml lemon juice
- 1.84 ml nutmeg, grated
- salt
- white pepper
- 24 slice bread (see note in description ( use thinly sliced bread)
- 118.29 ml butter, room temperature
directions
- In a large bowl combine first 4 ingredients (cream cheese - bell pepper) and stir in the onion, lemon juice and nutmeg. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Refrigerate for 1 hours.
- Spread one side of each piece of bread with butter and then top the buttered side of 12 slices of bread with the cream cheese mixture topping with another slice of bread, buttered side down. Cut off crusts with a sharp knife.
- Cut sandwiches diagonally into quarters.

<p>I love cooking and trying different foods, but my favorite cookbooks are now Weight Watchers or low fat/low cal cookbooks as I tend to try and make low fat/low cal recipes.
