I found this recipe in my MOM's bundle of recipes, It was on the back of an envelope, so had to interpret it a bit!!

  1. CRUST: Combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Turn into a 10 or 11-inch pie or flan pan. Spread the mixture evenly over pan then press up against sides and firmly over bottom. Cover the edges loosely with a piece of foil.
  2. Bake at 350F.for 12 minutes. Remove from heat and cool while preparing filling.
  3. FILLING: Beat three eggs until thick and foamy. Then beat in 3/4 cup sugar, a little at a time, whisking vigorously until sugar disappears. Finally stir in walnuts.
  4. Pour the filling in the partly baked crust. Bake st 350F for 25 minutes.
  5. Completely cool before serving.
  6. Serves 8-10.
