A favorite of mine from 30 years ago...easy to make and yummy to eat! Serving size is approximate, depending on the size you cut the bars.

  1. Beat egg with salt.
  2. Add sugar, flour and soda.
  3. Stir in nuts and vanilla.
  4. Bake in a greased (Pam) 8 x 8 square pan at 350 for 30 minutes.
  5. To make in a 9 x 13 pan, double ingredients.
