From Jo Ann Shirley's 1978 Cakes and Cookies cookbook.
- 1 cup margarine
- 2 1⁄2 cups tightly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- Cream together margarine and sugar. Add eggs and beat well.
- Add sifted dry ingredients and nuts. Mix well. Drop from a tsp onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake @ 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.
