These are "sinful" not healthy, but oh so good!
- Mix butter, flour & walnuts.
- Form balls the size of a walnut.
- Bake at 400° for 15 minutes.
- Roll in powdered sugar.
these are great! however the walnut flavor can be overwhelming. i found that using pecans instead fixes that.
This recipe is fantastic! When I was handling the dough it reminded me of a shortbread I make so I put it in my 8" cake pans, (square) a little over 1/4" deep and baked till the top was golden, removed from oven, with butter knife or plastic knife (so that you do not cut pan) slice into squares and turn pan upsided down releasing cookies to lay & cool. These keep very well when placed in a container and put in freezer, when needed pull out and let sit on cabinet for 20 min before serving! Great addition to my notebook - Thanks Darlene!
Is there something missing in the list of ingredients? I followed the recipe and my cookies fell apart but the crumbs were very tasty. Linda
