I trimmed the fat in this yummy recipe by using E-Z Low Fat Bisquick Mix (without the sugar it asks for), 1/4 cup of egg white and no sat fat/trans fat margarine. I also used 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts and there are still LOTS of nuts. Oh yes, and I used perhaps 2 Tbsp of Splenda Brown Sugar blend in place of the 1/2 cup wanted. The result is marvelous! There isn't too much sweetness, the dried fruit supplies plenty of it and it baked up (at 15 mins!) to a rich golden brown and was baked all the way through. Even though I skipped the frosting for sugar reasons I truly don't think that it's needed. This is very easy to make and scrumptious, give it a try! Made for Photo Tag.

Great !!!!. I used Sunkist Fruit Bits and toasted the walnuts. Drizzled it with a plain confectioners sugar and milk frosting. Yum

I don't have a sweet tooth and don't normally care for nuts in desserts, but this was really good! I followed the recipe to a T and they turned out perfectly! I did have to chop the dried fruit in the food processor because the the package I used had whole pieces in it. I baked in a pampered chef stone and they cooked nice and evenly. Sent them to work with dh and he called to say they're all gone! Thanks Noraleblanc!
