Walnut Cinnamon Balls - Jar Mix

READY IN: 10mins
Recipe by Ducky

This is posted in response to a request and I have not yet made these cookies. The recipe comes from the "Gifts For The Cookie Jar" cookbook and describes these as light and delicate with cinnamon flavor. Times are guesstimates for assembling the jar mix ingredients.

I made this for the holiday cookie swap, so I didn't make the actual cookies (although this type of cookie is one of my favorites). I wasn't crazy about how everything is mixed together and then just put in the jar. It seemed to me it wouldn't be visually appealing (no layers). So what I did was layer it this way: 2 cups of the flour at the bottom, topped that with the finely chopped walnuts, topped that with the other cup of flour mixed with the salt and cinnamon and topped it all off with the powdered sugar. I had extra room, so I placed a baggie of powdered sugar (for rolling the baked cookies in) on top of all that before putting the lid on. It looks very pretty and hopefully my swap partner will make the cookies and review the finished product. Thanks!
