Great recipe and wonderful taste. This was a great recipe for breaking in a new waffle iron. I cut the recipe in half and it was just as good. Thanks!

Thanks for the recipe. I had never made waffles before so I decided to buy a waffle maker and give it a try. They were very easy and the kids and I all really enjoyed them.

Just commented and forgot to ask: is it baking soda or powder? I used powder and it worked great, but the 'steps' say to use baking soda.... Just checking!

These are amazing. Soft and spongy, it tastes like a yummy soft cookie/cake. You can add ~1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract for extra yumminess.

Really great recipe, quick and easy. Totally back the "whole batch done in under 30 minutes" and I definitely recommend to add 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp of vanilla. Thank you for posting.

Delicious, crisp outside, tender inside. A teaspoon of vanilla enhances flavor.

Great! I usually make the following adjustments: I am generally too lazy to separate the eggs. :) Substitute maple syrup for sugar. Sometimes substitute canola oil or coconut oil for butter.

I love this recipe! It's the best ever. My sister and I fight over who makes the best waffles and it's sooooo easy!

Boy, is my family happy I ran out of waffle mix and had to learn to make them from scratch! We will never go back! Have made four batches in the last ten days - needless to say it's a keeper. Thanks for sharing!

An excellent basic recipe! Separating the eggs & sifting the flour makes a difference in results. Kids just enjoyed it with chocolate chips added.

Great recipe. Kids inhaled these, and the hubby and I liked them too. At first I was worried they wouldn't be sweet enough, but with syrup they were just fine. Thanks for sharing. This will be a repeat!

Wow! This was really good. I will try it with vanilla extract next time. My boys had their friends over so I had to triple the recepie. Definately satisfied the hungry mob!!

I too added a dash of vanilla to the mix, not because it needed it but because that's what Grandmother always did. The waffles came out perfect even though I probably didn't beat the egg whites quite as stiff as recommended (a girl can only do so much by hand). These were a perfect start to the day, especially when there's a blizzard outside like there is today in MN :-)

I quadrupled it and used cooking oil cuz I didn't have enough butter for the top if I used it all in the mix. Yummy.
