This was in my Mom's recipe cards. I have not tried this.
- Melt butter in sauce pan.
- Stir in cornstarch slowly.
- Add honey.
- Stir constantly over low heat for 8 minutes.
- Serve over hot waffles, pancakes or biscuits.
This is probably one of those toppings which has to become an acquired taste. It seemed to have an off taste to me that may have come from the cornstarch. Honey is thick on it's own when cooled slightly and I think that if someone wanted their honey and butter mixed they would do better to just mix and heat them without the cornstarch.
