  1. CAKE;.
  2. Preheat oven to 350.
  3. Sift all dry ingredients into a large bowl.
  4. Make 3 holes in mixture.
  5. Place Vanilla in one hole, Vinegar in another, and Melted Shortening/Oil in another.
  6. Pour 2 Cups Cold Water over all and beat thoroughly
  7. Bake in long 9x13 pan for 30-40 minutes
  8. FROSTING;.
  9. Beat all ingredients in large bowl for 15 minutes, spread over cooled cake.

We love this cake! It's very easy to throw together, and it's a nice dense serious snack cake. Ours came out almost brownie-like in texture. We weren't big fans of the frosting though and will do something different on top next time, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. But all in all, I have found a new cake recipe that I will continue to use over and over! Great cake! Made for PAC Fall 09.
