These brownies are AWESOME!! I have made them several times and everyone loves them. The only thing I do differently is use mini chocolate chips for the topping. I sprinkle them on while the coconut mixture is still warm so they melt a little and the almonds stick to them. Delicious!
These are TDF. So rich and thick and a great little indulgence. I made these as directed and made sure I allowed for the cooling time. My coconut mixture was quite thick and so I wanted to make sure that the brownies were not going to fall apart while spreading the coconut mix. Sinful...just sinful!!!! A sure repeat.~
Oh YUM!!! is right. We cut smaller bars because this is very gooey, sweet and rich. I didn't quite understand the directions on when to top with the coconut mixture and when to top that with the chocolate chips and almonds, so I didn't use much cooling time. I ended up using a knife to poke holes in the brownies, and the fork kept pulling up hunks of the brownies (probably due to the no cooling time). Will definitely make this again.
