It was ok. The flavor was alright--not bad but nothing stellar. Also, maybe it was just the way I prepared it, but the consistency was a bit weird. Worth making, but I probably won't be making it again.

This was delictable but the size of the ramekins needs to be stated.
The addition of chickpeas was a little strange.

It's hard to go wrong with a name that includes the words 'volcanic', 'chocolate', and 'truffle'...
this recipe was easy to make and turned out great! The hardest part was finding where my grocery store kept the pistachios and then, of course, waiting for them to cool so I could eat! My husband was not interested in trying a cake that was made with garbonzo beans (what we call chickpeas). But that's ok, it just means more for me! I found it to be a light dessert although I expected to be very rich. But it was just right. I felt satisfide, and at the same time, not like I had gone overboard feeding my chocolate craving. And, strawberries and cream were just right to top it off.

Wow! and here I thought I stood a chance in this contest!! These are terrific and such a creative use of the contest ingredients. This a re visually appealing and the taste is surprisingly delicious. Unfortunately DH saw that the chickpeas had been added and claimed he could taste them, but I thought they were well hidden under the chocolate flavour. I hope this recipe makes it at least to the finals as it is one of the best that I have tried so far-good luck!
