Vikki's Cheese Fries

My little sister is just at the age where she is experimenting in the kitchen. She came up with this easy recipe for yummy cheese fries that even kids can help cook

• Prep Time: 5 mins
• Cook Time: 18 mins

Ingredients:

Serves: 8

Yield: 8.0

• 16 ounces frozen french fries
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 2 tablespoons flour
• 1 ¼ cups milk
• 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
• ¼ cup ketchup

Directions:

1. cook fries accoding to package directions.
2. melt butter in a saucepan and then whisk in flour to form a roux.
3. whisk milk into pot.
4. then stir in cheese and stir until thick and well mixed.
5. Add in ketchup and serve cheese over fries.

this was really easy and very yummy.I added a dash of garlic powder to mine,which really brought it alive.I loved the inclusion of the tomato sauce,it worked well! Hope your sister carries on the good work in the kitchen!! Made for My 3 Chefs/Nov 2009.
