We thoroughly enjoyed this tonight for dinner - I scaled this back to use 12 chicken wings which had a total weight of 1.2k (with tips) and they were cooked to perfection in 50 minutes at 175C fan forced. Thank you Papa D, made for Photo Tag.
Great chicken wings. We really enjoyed the flavors as a change of pace from our usual hot wings. These are very flavorful and perfectly cooked.
These were absolutely delicious, and a nice change of pace from typical wing recipes. I made this exactly as posted, but doubled the recipe for 24 wings. They baked for 45 minutes, then I ran them under the broiler for a quick second to crisp them up a bit. Unique flavors that were a big hit. Made in memory of Papa D.
these were great, crispy skin and moist flavorful meat. i did not re-use the marinade for basting, i was afraid for health reasons, so i made extra for basting. a wonderful recipe great as an appetizer or even as a light main meal. made for Papa D cookathon.
Very good ~ a nice combination of flavors! I made these as written, except I did not re-use the marinade for basting! I was a little concerned about the amount of garlic called for, but they were not too garlicky! I marinated the wings overnight, and roasted them a total of 50 minutes. The sauce on these is boldly flavored, but not in any way hot or overly spicy. I used 6 chicken legs and reduced the sauce amounts by half. made a few adjustments as well as subbing splenda for the sugar. I marinated about 5 hours. Made in memory of Papa D for the cookathon.
