Oh, this recipe is awesome. My cousin Vicky brought this to the family reunion last year.

All the ladies at girl's night out absolutely loved this salad. Instead of mixing the pretzels and salad together, we just sprinkled it on top of each dish. Tip: Drain the crushed pineapple before adding it to the mixture. Also, I did not use all of the Cool Whip. Did not seem to need it. I will definitely make this again, soon!

  1. Mix crushed pretzel sticks, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup melted butter.
  2. Spread on baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 7-8 minutes. They should be crisp. Store in container until ready to serve.
  3. Mix cream cheese, pineapple, 1/2 cup sugar and 16 oz cool whip and refrigerate.
  4. NOTE: right before serving time, combine both mixtures ---- if you combine them early they will become soggy.
