Very Berry Smoothie for Breastfeeding Moms

"This smoothie provides lots of nutrition, antioxidants, fiber, and taste without the dairy that upsets the breastfeeding baby's tummy. It's super quick and easy. For extra clean-up ease, after pouring the smoothie, add water and a drop or two of soap to the blender and blend for a moment. It gets rid of all the berry seeds that get stuck to the blender."

directions

  • Add soy milk to blender.
  • Add banana, berries, and honey. I freeze my over-ripe bananas. Using a frozen banana makes the smoothie a little thicker, but use what you have.
  • Blend until smooth. Pour into glass and enjoy!
  • Makes two small servings or one big smoothie.

I'm married to a great man, and 10 months ago we had our first child, Dylan. He is amazing! I teach English, so I feel like my time is torn between my students and my family. But food is my passion. I love finding meals that make my husband happy; I know that sounds so 1950's, but I swear I'm a feminist. I just enjoy pleasing people with my culinary creations. I'm always on the lookout for something that is easy to make, tastes great, and allows me to spend more quality time with my family rather than in the kitchen.
