hi veronica, my husband is drago and well since we made it together i thought i should rate it too. this is just like i remembered it my first husband was italian and his grandmother made this alot for him trust me its worth the work of making it and our 2 year old ate them up
This is great. Loved it so much. Had to feed my little boy as I made each batch. He ate so much thought he would not eat at dinner time. Well he did,to tell the truth I was at it as much as he was.
We loved these! I even forgot to add the oil when cooking the potatoes and they still turned out wonderful!!!
A fool-proof recipe. Made exactly as written and were perfect. Ate the first batch with a ragu sauce (with a tbs. of cream added) and sprinkled with parmesan and parsley. A great recipe. Thanks Trixyinaz
Have made these twice in the last three months and sadly haven't reviewd the recipe. My whole family likes these. They come together quickly, but make sure you have time, because it makes a ton, which is a good thing in my large family. Not sure what would cause these to dissolve in the cooking water, but I've not had that problem. First time I made them I was in a hurry, so i threw the dough into the freezer to chill, worked well. Have never had anything but good comments on these-made them once with sauteed cabbage and onions for the vegetarians in my family-pretty tasty. Second time I added chopped spinach, squeezed dry and romano cheese, then topped woth marinara sauce. Yummo! Do try these. Forgot to add that I let my stand mixer do all the work and it works great.
These had a lot of potential and the directions were great. I didn't allow them to cool for the four hours, so they were still warm but this didn't seem to affect the way they came together. We just didn't care for the bland taste of the instant potatoes. Thank you for giving me something to make rather than buy though!
I tried this and boy did this take a lot of work. And I am sorry to rate this so low but this just didn't come out as I thought it would. This dissolves when I boil this in the water, maybe I did something wrong, but I just didn't think this was worth all the time and effort to make. I rather just buy this stuff. Thanks for the recipe though, at least I got a chance to try something new.
