Went Fondue Friday night and while searching for recipes, I came across this one. It comes from the Fondue Factory. It was rich and delicious!!!
- Combine all ingredients in your fondue pot or saucepan.
- Cook over medium-low heat until melted, stirring constantly.
- Dip strawberries, sliced bananas, pineapple cubes, angel food and pound cake, or rice crispy treats.
- YUMMY, YUMMY!
I made this as an ordinary sauce: melted everything in a bowl set over gently simmering water then poured it over sliced bananas as a dessert. Worked fine for me - only took a few minutes, very tasty and no cheese lumps - although for my sweet tooth, a little drizzle of maple syrup was a necessary addition when using plain chocolate (I've also tried it with milk chocolate, and with white chocolate: both were delicious)!
I think there are tastier and better chocolate fondue recipes to be found. Took a really long time to make smooth, clumps of cream cheese as little white bumps would not melt completely and it was ok but not awesome.
