I made this as an ordinary sauce: melted everything in a bowl set over gently simmering water then poured it over sliced bananas as a dessert. Worked fine for me - only took a few minutes, very tasty and no cheese lumps - although for my sweet tooth, a little drizzle of maple syrup was a necessary addition when using plain chocolate (I've also tried it with milk chocolate, and with white chocolate: both were delicious)!
