oooo, This is yummy! I used 1/2 the ask for syrup and found that to be quite sweet enough for my tastes. I have a warmer element on my stove and I just tossed it all in the pot when I got up at 6 and set it at mid warming temp. It was lovely at lunch time (about 12:30). It was warm and comforting looking out the window at the light snowfall while drinking it. Of course, I had to put the used cinnamon stick in my cup! Thanks Karen for a perfect potion.

  1. Combine cider, syrup, cinnamon and cloves in a pot and heat thoroughly; DO NOT BOIL!
  2. Remove cloves and cinnamon stick and serve hot, garnished with a half lemon slice.
