Venison Loaf (Meatloaf)

"This is a great alternative to meatloaf. The venison is a much leaner meat so lower fat & calories. Has a great taste also."

  • Add all ingrediente to a big bowl. Mix well together. Shape into a loaf(you can either use a loaf pan or I use a cookie sheet with a sheet of foil on it). Either way will be fine. Since you are using venison there is not much fat juice while cooking. Adding the bbq sauce will make it moist & delicious. Save leftovers for next days lunch, a meatloaf sandwich. Cook 350 degrees for appox. 1 hour. until fully cooked through.

  1. WOW! This was really good and much more moist than I expected....I think it has to do, not only, with the BBQ sauce but the extra other liquid that is added too. I thought it was a bit too "soft" when I was forming it but it ended up turning out superb! DH loved it too. (DD not so much because she just said the venison taste was too strong by itself) I will be keeping this one on hand, as I have several pkg of ground venison on hand. Thanks cherij22! I'm a stay at home mom of 3 children, 4 counting my husband. My children are Deanna 12, Brendon 10 and Natalie 18 months. I love to cook different things. My husband and oldest child are very picky. So when I cook things with veggies in the recipe I put them in the food processor so they don't see it, but they are getting the vitamins from them. I have recently started Weight Watchers, so now on the prowl for new healthy recipes but that are easy to make.
