SO good! I made this with elk steak for 2. But I made the whole sauce recipe. I think it would also work great with beef! It's the sauce that makes the dish, it's fabulous! This is very easy to make, very quick too. I will definitly make this again! Thanks Dorothy!!

This was absolutely wonderful. I did not use the port wine just a little water. I cannot wait to make it again. Very easy.

Oh my goodness. I have always thought I didn't care for venison except for ground in meatloaf. Well a good friend gave us some deer chops and I wasn't sure what to do with them. I wasn't thrilled but decieded to give your recipe a shot. WOW....I was wrong. I do like venison chops, and I LOVED your recipe. The mushroom sauce was fantastic with these. I would make this again and again. My kids didn't know the diffrence from the deer and beef. I was so pleasantly suprised with the meat and I have your recipe to thank for that. I was so intrigued with your recipe that I was willing to give it a try. Thank you for opening my eyes to another meat, your recipe was wonderful.

My family raved about this - it was delicious!! I was a little hesitant to only use marjoram on the venison - but I followed the recipe and was so glad I did! It was amazing! The only thing we did differently was to triple the amount of mushrooms and sauce - we also used some portabellas along with our 'regular' mushrooms - oh so good! It's great to have another really good venison recipe. (Oh, we used marsala cooking wine - it worked great!)

Very good! I will be making this again and next time I will increase the mushroom sauce. I didn't have marojam so I used thyme. I served with a nice green salad and mashed potatoes. This was a very quick and easy meal to make.
