Venison and Noodles

ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 lbs venison, stew meat, cubed
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 1 1⁄2 cups beer
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 tablespoon horseradish
- 2 teaspoons steak sauce
- 3 drops hot sauce
- 1⁄2 teaspoon thyme
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dill weed
- 1⁄4 teaspoon allspice
- salt and pepper
- flour
directions
- Brown the venison cubes in the oil in a heavy skillet.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and season to taste, cover and simmer for 2 1/2 hours.
- Thicken the liquid with a little flour.
- Serve over buttered noodles.

Oh Jim! DH just loved this! Said I should double it next time. He had three helpings of this batch and there is barely enough for a snack left over. It was so easy to throw together. I think this would also work in a crock pot, which I might try so we can enjoy this during the work week. I am also thinking it would be super over mashed potatoes, with all that wonderful gravy. I sacrificed my last Halloween Ale for the beer, but I think it was a good choice. Any of the lighter beers wouldn't give such a great flavor I don't think.
