  1. I did tweak the recipe a bit, it still turned out so yummy! I sautéed the onions in with a bunch of butter and onion powder. I mixed the milk in with the velveeta cheese block in a separate pot so it melted without burning, then mixed all the ingredients together. I used 1 can of the combo cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soup and a can of celery soup. I put a little sharp cheddar cheese on top so when it bakes it comes out pretty ?

  2. I've made this dish too many times to count, both as a side dish & a complete meal. To do that I add chicken & mushrooms & it is so delicious. Saute mushrooms with the onions & add chicken of your choice. My husband prefers dark meat so we cut boneless, skinless thighs into bite size pieces & saute in olive oil. Also, like others, I melt the cheese in a saucepan with the milk & soup, pour it over everything and mix together. So good!

  3. I used Cream of Mushroom soup, added mushrooms and celery (I had it in the refrigerator and wanted to use it up) and put crispy fried onions on top. It was so yummy. My husband went back for three helpings.

  4. Love this recipe! My kids do too. I usely double it and add minced garlic when I saute my onions, along with nature's seasoning. Also I bake a bag of frozen chicken tenders with roasted garlic and herb seasoning. And add some sharp cheddar cheese in top at the ebd. We love garlic and cheese obviously. This makes a great all in one dish to take to "bring-a-dish" gatherings when you can't decide whether to bring a side-dish or a meat. Taking it tonight. Thanks for sharing !

I have two boys Eddie 18 and Brandon 10. I have been with my hubby for 16 years. I work full time outside the home and my boys keep me busy at home. Eddie is a singer and base guitar player in a band and Brandon races go karts. We also have a Collie/Beagle mix named Sugar. I love to cook and try out new recipes. My family likes it too but at times ask my to make just "normal" food, as I forget sometimes to make my own TNT recipes. I cook a lot with with my crock pot as it makes life a lot easier for me. I am always on the look out for new crock pot recipes. I'm not much of a baker as I don't like to measure things. I collect cookbooks and recipes in general. I usually start with a recipe and tweak to my families liking. My Rating System: 5 Stars = The whole family enjoyed the dish and it will be added to my TNT cookbook. Book #220911. These recipes will be made again and again. 4 Stars = Recipe was good, but needed some modifications or it was good but not something we would want on a regular basis. Also goes into my TNT-4 star recipe cookbook. Book #220912 3 Stars = It was edible, but won't be made again. 2 Stars = Needs some kind of major adjustments. 1 Stars = Inedible, didn't work, waste of ingredients.
