These are AWESOME! I just made a half recipe to try them out. I was a bit skeptical about the non-meat filling but they fooled my husband! I stuck to the recipe this time but next round I am going to spice them up a bit more. Thanks!
I have just made these rolls and am very pleased with the results. They look like British sausage rolls and the flavour is pleasant if not entirely sausage tasting. I did add garlic powder, onion powder, a little salt and some cayenne pepper and intend to spice them up a little more the next time I make them. A good, easy recipe.
We make these on a regular basis but we always use walnuts instead of pecans. My brother-in-law also makes them but he adds a bit of grated cheese before rolling them up. Either way is good. Nay, GREAT! Simple and delicious. They freeze well too - we are actually having some tonight thawed first in the microwave and currently crisping up in the oven. I love them in my lunch box :)
I found these a little bland and very stodgy to start with but with the addition of grated apple or carot & sage they are outstanding - v pleased with the result, much lighter and tasty
Excellent! After reading some other reviews, I added some extras. I bit of dijon mustard, a little thyme, crushed red pepper and sage. I would serve these at any get together. Thanks for sharing this keeper recipe!
This has to be one of the best vegetarian sausage rolls recipes i have tried. The look and texture is great and the flavour is well balance
