This is great for older less active dogs who could use the protein, but not the fat, of meat. And just to be clear, despite what one chef had to say about garlic, oil, and the lot, my vet had no problem with this recipe, says my dog benefits from it, and attributes her wonderful health at her old age in part to her diet. So choose carefully when it comes to your own dog and consult your vet if you are worried, but know that this is not the poisonous concoction some would have you believe.

Hi, Great stuff. talk to my vet and was instructed that the onion is a problem but as far as anything else she said to do as i would when changing J's diet with any new food do it gradual and watch your pet for warning signs. so talk to your vet and make an informed opinion for your self.

Fellow Dog Lovers I hope everyone does their homework before using someone elses recipes. Dogs should never be fed garlic. They should also not be given olive oil, butter or animal fat renderings.
