My daughter loves the chipotle sauce on her Veg Subway Sandwich. This makes her addiction a little healthier.
- 12 ounces Mori-Nu silken soft tofu
- 1 cup raw cashew nuts
- 1⁄4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 -3 tablespoons honey dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 -2 tablespoon chipotle chile in adobo
- 4 fresh garlic cloves
- Place all ingredients in a high powered blender and blend for 1 minute on high until smooth. Chill to thicken.
Amazing and great! We both loved it. Very smooth and creamy... This'll be good in tacos, burritos, sandwiches, salads, etc etc. You can easily control how spicy it is..
This sauce is fantastic! I made it exactly as stated with the addition of a few tablespoons of Veganise. We had it with a mexican inspired salad and my husband and I both loved it! Was a little on the hot side for me (I am quite sensitive for spice) but a little mild for my spice-loving husband. Can't wait to try it in a burrito. Would be great with some fresh cilantro added in.
Fantastic! Super creamy and very tasty. Highly recommended. We spooned it over beans and rice - a great addition. Would be great in a sandwich or over grilled vegetables.
