I made these last night and have to admit I'm pretty disappointed. I used a 50/50 mix of carrot and zucchini for the veg. The overall taste was okay, but rather bland, I think some spices are a must. The mix was very wet and difficult to form into balls. Then, when cooking, they were nearly impossible to turn without falling apart. Even the ones I did manage to turn then fell apart upon eating. I didn't even bother making the dipping sauce as there was no way I'd be able to dip them. I'm going to try again and decrease the tofu, maybe add an egg as a binding unit. It's a great idea and I'd like for it to work.

We loved these rice balls. Made a lot. But I have to say my irish wolfhound liked them better. Left them on top of the oven to cool to store for lunchboxes went out and came home to rice covering my kitechen floor. He had knocked down the tray and devoured each and everyone bar the sticky rice left all over the floor. Luckily he is still alive!

These tasted lovely, but I struggled to get them to stick together properly, perhaps because I didn't properly convert the measurements into English ones. I will definately make them again and again however.

Lovely! I think that I did something wrong (may not have chopped the veggies small enough) as the rice would not form balls. I added bread crumbs and then it worked. I used zucchini and leeks for the veggies. We loved the taste of these cute little snacks. Thanks for posting!
