This was my first time making and eating Couscous. We loved this. I did change it up a bit. I only used two cups of water and didn't add the butter and shallot. I just boiled the water, added the soup and then the Couscous. It smelled so good while it was cooking and was so easy to make. I will be making this again.

  1. Melt the butter in a 3-quart saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add in shallots; stir/saute for 2-3 minutes or until softened.
  3. Add in couscous; stir to coat the grains with butter; cook 2-3 minutes.
  4. Take pan off of stove burner; stir in the soup mix; add in 2 cups water and stir.
  5. Let mixture stand in the pan for 7 minutes.
  6. Fluff the couscous and add the remaining water; cover pan and let couscous stand for 5 more minutes.
  7. Stir before serving.
