I make this exact recipe except for replacing the tomatoes with Rotel tomatoes and green chilis. Try it for a spicier version.

Good easy basic soup recipe. Easily converted to the stove top.

Very good soup/stew which we enjoyed. I only used one onion and cut up a few baby potatoes, otherwise made as directed. Thanks for sharing!

I pretty much followed the recipe and it was good! I used a larger can of tomatoes because I needed a bit more volume as my slow cooker is 7 quarts and requires you to fill to a certain line. For that reason, it needed a bit more salt. Some Chalula hot sauce made it liven up a bit too. I could eat veggie soup every day and the baby in my belly seems to enjoy it as well. Thanks!

This made a good soup. The broth had a good flavor a nice change from the usual tomato broth. Instead of adding frozen mixed vegetables I added a 1/2 cup each of frozen peas and corn and some fresh shredded cabbage. Thanks DDW.

Loved it! Easy and just perfect for a cold, windy day. Will make this a lot, I'm sure. Thanks!

My family loved this recipe and I will make it often. I cooked this on low for about seven hours then added the mixed vegetables and cooked everything for another 2 hours.Served it with buttered french bread. Perfect!
